Pre-Test Grades Are Missing From the Gradebook

Overview

Pre-test grades do not appear in the gradebook when a filter hides them. The system auto-grades every pre-test that a student completes. The pre-test does not count toward the student's overall grade. When the "Counts for Grade" filter is on, the gradebook hides the pre-test and similar content items which do NOT count toward the grade.

Showing Pre-Test Grades in the Gradebook

  1. Go to the gradebook page.
  2. Find the "View Selector" across the top of the page.
  3. Click the Filter icon on the right side of the View Selector.
  4. Uncheck "Counts for Grade."

The gradebook now shows the pre-test and other items that do not count toward the student's grade.

Understanding the Filter Name

The filter name is confusing. The gradebook always shows items that count toward the grade.

Checking the box hides items that are not included in the overall grade. Unchecking the box shows them again.
